Anti-Ageing Treatment for Wrinkles
As we age, changes in collagen, elastin and overall skin quality can contribute to the development of fine lines and wrinkles. Repeated facial movement can also cause expression lines to become more pronounced over time.
A FORME, we offer personalised consultations to assess your concerns and discuss treatment options designed to soften the appearance of wrinkles while maintaining natural facial movement and expression.
How We Treat Wrinkles
Our approach is focused on understanding why your lines have developed and which treatment approach is most appropriate for you.
Where clinically appropriate, wrinkle treatments can temporarily reduce the activity of specific facial muscles responsible for dynamic lines. This can soften existing expression lines and help prevent repetitive movement from deepening their appearance.
Treatment may also be incorporated into a broader skin treatment plan to address skin quality and established static lines.
Our goal is not to remove your natural expression, but to create a refreshed and balanced appearance while preserving natural facial movement.
What to Expect
Your appointment begins with an in-depth consultation where we discuss your concerns, medical history and treatment goals.
Following informed consent and, where appropriate, a prescription, you'll be made comfortable in the treatment room.
We will assess your facial movements and ask you to make a range of expressions. Your Nurse will then identify and carefully mark the relevant treatment areas based on your individual facial anatomy and desired outcome.
The treatment itself is relatively quick, and your Nurse will guide you through each step to ensure you remain comfortable throughout.
Following Your Treatment
You may experience some temporary effects following treatment, including:
Redness
Mild swelling
Bruising
Tenderness or sensitivity
Itchiness
Your Nurse will provide detailed aftercare instructions both verbally and via email following your appointment.
When Will I See Results?
Results typically begin to become noticeable within 3–4 days, with the full effect generally assessed at approximately 2 weeks.
A follow-up appointment will be scheduled at this time to review your results, assess your response to treatment and determine whether any further treatment is appropriate.
How Long Do Results Last?
Results generally last approximately 3–4 months, although this varies between individuals depending on factors such as the treatment area, muscle activity, metabolism and individual response.
Common Treatment Concerns
Wrinkle treatments may be considered for a range of concerns, including:
Frown lines
Horizontal forehead lines
Crow's feet / smile lines
Chin dimpling or "orange peel" texture
Downturned mouth corners
Gummy smile
Lip flip
Perioral lines
Neck lines and platysmal bands
Heavy or lowered brows
Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis)
Teeth grinding and jaw tension
Masseter reduction and jawline slimming
Not every treatment is suitable for every individual. Your Nurse will assess your facial anatomy, muscle activity and medical history before recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
Dynamic VS Static Wrinkles
There are two main types of facial lines associated with ageing: dynamic lines and static lines.
Dynamic lines appear as a result of repeated muscle movement and facial expression — for example, when frowning, raising your eyebrows or smiling. These lines are generally less visible when the face is at rest.
Static lines are wrinkles that remain visible when the face is relaxed. Over time, repeated muscle movement, combined with changes in skin quality and collagen, can cause dynamic lines to become more established and develop into static wrinkles.
